Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee® (EJCDC) To Extend the License Agreement for the 2018 EJCDC Construction Series Documents through 2025

Extended license is in anticipation of new 2026 update to the C-Series collection.

Alexandria, VA – In accordance with the License Agreement for the 2018 EJCDC Construction Series Documents (“License”), Paragraph 5.0, EJCDC hereby extends the term of the License for a period of one additional year.  This extension applies to all 2018 EJCDC Construction Series Documents whose License, but for this extension, would have terminated on the later of (1) three years after the date of purchase; or (2) six years after the last day of 2018, pursuant to the original terms of the License.

Under this extension, the term of each applicable License is extended by one year beyond its previously defined termination date. All other terms and conditions of the original License remain in full force and effect.

This extension notice is published on www.ejcdc.org in accordance with the terms of the License. It is in anticipation of the 2026 update to the construction series documents, which are expected for public release in early 2026.

Over the last 50 years, the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC®) has developed and updated fair and objective standard documents specifically written for infrastructure projects in the United States. Each EJCDC Contract Document is systematically prepared, reviewed and analyzed by committees of experienced engineering design and construction professionals, owners, contractors, professional liability and risk management experts, with the participation and advice of legal counsel.

Members of EJCDC’s sponsoring organizations (the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers – Construction Institute) can also continue to purchase EJCDC contract documents directly from those organizations at a 50% discount.

Should you have any questions, or like more information about the upcoming changes to the C-Series licensing agreement, we encourage you to reach out to EJCDC Executive/Marketing Director Katie LaPotin at katie@ejcdc.org or (571) 396-5495.
