Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee® (EJCDC) To Update Prices & Offerings for Certain Contract Documents and Collections
Updated pricing – some of which is already in place – will allow EJCDC® to continue providing customers with fair and objective standard documents as we enter our 50th year of service.
Alexandria, VA – Over the last 50 years, Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee® (EJCDC) has developed and updated fair and objective standard documents specifically written for infrastructure projects in the United States. Each EJCDC® Contract Document is systematically prepared, reviewed and analyzed by committees of experienced engineering design and construction professionals, owners, contractors, professional liability and risk management experts, with the participation and advice of legal counsel.
For us to continue providing you with this same level of quality and service, we’ve started to update both the prices and offerings of several of our eight collections of contract documents, as noted in past press releases:
USDA Rural Utilities Service Preapproved Documents – Effective June 25, 2024.
- Includes updates and new inclusions made to the collection per the May 2024 update to the RUS Bulletin 1780-26.
- RD-990 RD Preapproved Documents Full Set Now $1,915 (increased from $998).
- 2020 E-500 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner & Engineer for Professional Services, RD Edition Now $238 (previously 2014 edition).
- 2018 C-522 Contract for Construction of a Small Project, RD Edition Now $158 (now preapproved for use under certain limited circumstances).
- 2020 E-520 Short Form of Agreement Between Owner & Engineer for Professional Services, RD Edition Now $238 (now preapproved for use under certain limited circumstances).
- 2020 E-525 Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Study and Report Professional Services, RD Edition Now $178 (now preapproved for use under certain limited circumstances).
- NEW RD-991 RD Preapproved Documents for Small Projects, Select Documents Now $507 (includes C-522-RD).
Construction-Related Documents – Effective July 15, 2024
- Please note that the C-990 Construction Related Documents Full-Set will no longer include a copy of the USDA-RUS RD Preapproved Documents Full Set. To receive these documents, you will need to purchase the brand-new C-991 USDA-RUS RD Preapproved Documents Supplemental Add-On. The price of the C-990 Full Set will remain at $2,200.
- NEW C-991 USDA-RUS RD Preapproved Document Supplemental Add-On Now $458. (Includes RD-edited editions of C-Series documents plus E-500, E-520, E-525.
As we move into the fall, we will have additional price adjustments and/or product updates affecting our contract documents and collections as well:

We completely understand that price increases are never ideal and work to avoid one whenever we can. Please know that because of this increase, we will be able to:
- Put additional resources into the growth and development of our contract documents to continue bringing you the best value contract document for infrastructure-related projects on the market.
- Further expand our internal infrastructure and business operations so we can provide you with new and exciting services in the coming months and years.
- Continue to invest in EJCDC® while keeping in line with current industry trends and contract distribution costs.
All orders on the contracts and/or collections mentioned in this release made prior to the stated dates above will be honored at the previously agreed upon rate.
Members of EJCDC’s® sponsoring organizations (the American Council of Engineering Companies, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Society of Civil Engineers – Construction Institute) will also continue to be able to purchase these documents and/or packages directly from those organizations at a 50% discount.
