The Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC) is a joint venture of three major organizations of professional engineers and contractors including:
- The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC),
- The National Society of Professional Engineers(NSPE),
- The American Society of Civil Engineers – Construction Institute (ASCE-CI)
Since 1975, EJCDC has come together several times each year at a Full Committee Meeting to continue its work developing and updating fair and objective standard documents for use on engineer-led construction projects.
Upcoming events:
On June 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM EDT, The American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law will present a Webinar “Exploring Below the Surface: The 2018 EJCDC Construction Series Documents”. This webinar will discuss several highlights of the 2018 Construction Series and will examine, in-depth, EJCDC’s contractual approach to three common site issues in engineered construction: Differing Site Conditions; Underground Facilities; and Hazardous Conditions. The ABA will seek 1.5 hours of General CLE credit in 60 minute states, and 1.8 hours of General CLE credit in 50-minute states for this program. Learn more and register here
The second meeting of EJCDC’s Full Committee in 2019 will take place on June 5 – 9, 2019 in San Diego, California at the Hilton San Diego Airport/ Harbor Island.
